Special Education Services: Interrelated and Learning Disabilities

ATTENTION: Interrelated Teachers, School Psychs, and Speech Language Pathologists!

August 29, 2007

Project SPOT through KSDE is offering trainings on tying IEP goals to the state standards in reading. The workshop starts with assessments and then examines intervention strategies and goals based upon the assessments. There are two trainings, one for the elementary level and one for the secondary level. I would encourage all interrelated teachers to attend. If there is enough interest, we will attend this training instead of having an interrelated meeting here at NKESC. You can access the registration form and get more information by going to: http://www.greenbush.org/spot/trainings_by_topic.htm Click on “Trainings by Topic” and then click on “Planning Reading Assessment” for either elementary or secondary. Both of these trainings are offered at Hays. The secondary training is on October 9th and the elementary training is on November 13th. Space is limited so I would encourage you to submit a professional leave request as soon as possible if you want to attend.

Thanks

Kurt Brown
