The Vision Impaired Department provides services to students who are low vision or blind.  Low vision is when a vision loss has been corrected and still interferes with learning.  Services we provide are informal vision screening, functiional vision screening, teaching of Braille to students, assistance with adapting materials to large print or braille. Services for Orientation and Mobility can also be arranged through the Vision Impaired Department.  An O and M specialist will provide instruction on safe travel in both indoor and outdoor environments this may include use of a cane.
